NKT

Overcome pain, increase performance and create efficiency with Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT).

Do you suffer from chronic pain? Experience injury after injury? Getting no results with other health care professionals? Do you want to perform better in your sport or activity? If your answer is yes then NKT is for you.

Overcome pain, stop the injury cycle while increasing athletic performance and efficiency with Neurokinetic Therapy.

Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) is a form of manual therapy that combines motor control theory and manual muscle testing to address the cause of the pain you are experiencing – dysfunctional movement patterns stored in the brain.

Through manual muscle testing we find muscles (movement patterns) that are weak or dysfunctional in relationship to other muscles. In motor control theory, if a body fails to perform a specific function, the motor control centre lights up and becomes open to new learning. As NKT therapists we use this to our advantage to reprogram the motor centre and correct the dysfunctional movement pattern….I know, absolutely amazing!

NKT allows the therapist to connect neck pain to a knee injury as a child, back pain to a scar from a recent surgery or one done 20 years ago, shoulder pain due to poor breathing patterns, hip problems due to something in the pelvic floor, jaw tension and headaches due to core instability. The list is endless.

The motor control pattern in the brain can be corrected quickly and the client will be sent home with individual specific homework to be performed for lasting results.

Are you sick of chasing pain? Tired of spending money on therapy that gives you relief for a day or two? Reached you performance plateau? Want to learn specific movements to help improve performance and efficiency?

Perhaps it is time to try NKT

In short, function and strength are not the same. Function requires proper neurology and strength can use compensation. Compensation will create a dysfunctional movement pattern that may cause injuries in the future. No matter how much we do an exercise, if the brain can not neurologically find that muscle it can not and will not get stronger without over working and casing possibly injury to another muscle (the facilitator).
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”
